Ok here it goes....*is horrible at explain stuff*
When Yugi and Yami are venturing around inside the puzzle, they stumble upon a door, it looks different, odd from all the others. They decided to open, but its empty inside, nothing but darkness. But before they close it a giant light blinds them both and they can feel themselves being sucked into the empty room. Unaware to them, the dark light shoots out of the puzzle and takes a hold of Yugi's friends as well. But as soon as the light appeared is vanishes, leaving 4 soulless bodies, and a now cold puzzle.
They wake up, to find themselves oddly together, but that confuses only lasts up until they see were they are. What looks to be Ancient Egypt.
Long story short, Yugi and co get sent back into the past. But Yami doesn't even remember them. If they don'[t get Yami to remember they can never go back, and Yami won't be able to complete his destiny. What ever that is.
The past in the original story line, as much as i love it, wont apply here. We can make up our own.
Also, always kinda wondered what would it be like if Yami had actually been a little bit evil? What changed him and why had Yugi been his new vessel in the future...
