Walking slowly, Joey sighed, and drew his hands through his thick blond hair. Lately things had been just... More insane then before, they had gone through hunters, evil spirits, duel tournaments, and so much other freaky stuff, but that stuff didn't matter anymore... Yugi had gone, and no one knew where he went, and because of this, Yami was getting sick, and almost literally fading away. Everyone was concerned, and lost, not sure what to do... But the scariest part was that Jou... wasn't hungry...
He shuddered and continued slowly through the park. Of course Joey hadn't given up, but they had looked for Yugi, over and over, just making things more and more worrisome. For now Wheeler wasn't doing anything purposely, he wasn't looking for Yugi, wasn't even trying to consider what happened... He was just... walking. There was no reason to it at all. Though he looked like he was deep in thought, there was hardly anything to think about anymore...
"Come on, Yug..."
Joey whispered, staring at the semi-clouded sky. Now, just because he wasn't really doing anything, didn't mean he wasn't missing his friend, it really was, but now Jou was trying not to stress himself anymore. Everyone had done that for long enough, and it got them no where... But looking hadn't helped either...
Shaking his head, the blond stopped, and plopped down, carelessly on a wooden park bench. Leaning back, Joey closed his eyes, resting silently, hoping his friend was safe, but that was a stretch...
[yea, this thread is pointless, I just wanted to post with Jou]

(Ah what the heck)
Unknown to the lovable blond known as Jou those violet eyes that everyone missed so dearly were watching him silently. Yugi stood next to a tree almost obscured by it's shadow and his eyes were the only thing visible in it's darkness. His eyes had lost that playful loving spark that they always held in thm and it was replaced by confusion and curiosity of the things around him as he did not remember.
The puzzle hung delicitly around his slender neck, it glinted slightly in the sunlight that managed to cut through the darkness of the trees shadow, he seemed differant then before as well. Still the same height but his hair was tied back into a ponytail instad of spiked, he wore what he had always worn with the exception of it being black instead of blue and he seemed indifferant about the things around him.

Joey remained still and silent for a moment. He wasn't one to be serious about hardly anything, but recently, he was anything but funny, no jokes to be made, nothing. The blond, and the entire group had lost their liveliness, but they had a reason... Yugi was gone, the pure innocence of the group that kept them all smiling. Now it was different, everyone felt lost, and just... off without him around. Everyone, every moment wondering, and worrying about what had happened to Yugi. The group had many enemies, simply making them all even more concerned.
Sitting up straight, the blond lifted his gaze slightly as well. Jou paused, as his brown eyes had been caught on that golden flash, and the violet orbs, that were now so lifeless. He knew though, just how familiar these things were. Joey stood up slowly, taking a single, cautious step.
"Y-yugi?"

Yugi blinked as his name was called and he turned the lifeless violet orbs toward the blond while the sun shifted the trees shadow to another position thus bathing the innocent in it's warm light. In reaction he kept a hand on the puzzle that hung from his neck just in case, he didn't know why he did it, he just did.

Joey blinked. He couldn't even believe his eyes. But he felt this was no mind trick, despite how much insanity they had known before, this was real, this was Yugi... right? Stepping forward once more, the blond held his breath for a moment.
"Yug... Where... have you been? Is it really you?"
He had to stop himself, before bombarding his friend with thousands of questions.

Yugi blinked and looked confused at the one talking to him, he didn't seem to know the blond that he had been friends with for years now. No spark of rememberance entered his eyes and all that was there was a hollow gaze of curiosity and confusion as well as conceled longing, longing for what he didn't know but it was there.
Shifting a little he turned his eyes to look about him as though thinking the other was addressing someone else but he saw no one else around, his gaze moved back to the blond.

Joey stopped, and tilted his head slightly, as he received no reply, getting a chance to see the look in the other's eyes, seeing no soft innocence, the caring friend of his didn't seem to be there anymore, perhaps a shell of what Yugi once was. The blond took a deep breath. At least he was alive right? That was the bright side to this, but what about the dark side, the fact Joey had no idea what was going on with his friend.
"Yugi... What's wrong?"
He asked in a choked breath. Seriously, something here was way off, and that was for damn sure... But just what was off here? For now all Jou could do was look to Yugi, studying his friend, and hoping that something could be done, whether it be by him or another...

"Um..." that voice was enough proof that this was yugi but it did not hold the tone of carefree happiness like it had before and instead held cautioned curiosity and confusion. He looked to the blond confused as he spoke again "Who...are you?" he actually ment what he said, he did not know Joey anymore.

Joey remained silent as he looked to Yugi, thinking, and trying to figure what the hell had happened here, and if he could do anything to help his friend. He heard the other's own question; "Who...are you?" This echoed through the blond's mind. So... it really was bad. Joey sighed, and looked at the ground.
"Yug... It's me... Your friend, Joey... Joey Wheeler..."
He answered quietly looking back up, trying to hold on to that last sliver of hope... Hope that something could and would be done...

The name sparked some bit of recognition in the younger ones eyes but he still needed a bit more push to fully remember anything. He tilted his head slightly as though trying to gather any info on Joey but was drawing a blank, he did however seem to remember the name and that was at least a start right?

The blond sighed, as he looked at Yugi. Yes, he was glad that he had managed to at least spark a small bit in those soft violet eyes, but Joey still felt useless anyway, seeing as his own best friend didn't even know him. Jou thought silently, trying to come up with the right way to help his friend.
"Yugi, you know... Duelist Island? ...remember... I had taken away a piece to your millennium puzzle..."
He spoke quietly, still unsure of anything to really help the one before him...

Again another spark reflected itself in those violet eyes as he looked down at the puzzle in his hands and unconciously tightened his grip on the golden object, he seemed to begin to remember.

Joey blinked and swallowed at seeing this, though forcing himself to keep his from getting his hopes up. The blond sighed, looking away for a moment. Hell, there was a lot he could tell Yugi, but what of it could help?
"...Remeber, Yug... Red eyes? And...and..." Jou stopped, he was at a loss here. "We were best friends... We still are... and you know it... somewhere..."
The blond spoke, losing his hope and confidence here.

Yugi blinked as he searched quietly through the darkness of his mind, those words did ring a bell from somewhere far away and he tried to reach it quietly. It took him a moment or two before he heard like the sound of a door slowly unlocking as Jou spoke, he blinked again and suddenly it fully unlocked and memories flowed to him, not complete memories of everyone but memories of the one in front of him.
Turning wide violet eyes to the blond he gave no warning as he suddenly tackled the other "Jou!" he cried happily as he finally remembered.

Joey sighed, remained silent and still, feeling this was a waste of time, that nothing could be done... They'd been through enough crap, you'd think the blond would have more hope, more need to help and push Yugi to remember, but it seemed now there was nothing to be done, that he'd already done all he could... Suddenly, Joey's eyes lifted to Yugi's again...
Before the blond knew it, he was sent to the ground, having been taken by surprise, by his old friend. When Yugi said his name, Joey gave a wide smile. He did it? His friend remembered now? Swallowing, Jou continued to grin as he squirmed. "Yug... You alright, man?" He asked, somewhat serious, though humorous at the same time.
