~Concerning Millenium Items~
Item :Millenium Rod
Powers : The Millenium Rod has quite a useful power, able to control a person'd mind if the holder of the item has a stronger will than his or her victim. It also conceals a dagger within its shaft, though the dagger holds no known magical power.
Description : Golden, as all the other items, the Millenium Rod is almost axe-shaped, with curving, hooked "wings" sprouting from each side of a centerally located sphere, decorated with the same eye pattern as the Millenium Eye. The shaft of the Rod narrows, and, in the last four or five inches of it, the bottom may be removed to reveal a sharp dagger, the only handguard being a small ring that keeps it from sliding fully into the shaft.
~Appearances~
Ethnicity : Egyptian / Egyptian
Build : Tall, slim / Tall, slim
Malik wasn't built for strength. He is more of the intelligent, slim and fast type, silent when he wishes in a cult-issue cloak branded with the Millenium Symbol and hung with golden chains. Under this, he prefers to wear a pale lavander hoodie with the sleeves hacked off and a pair of tan pants. Around his neck are several flat gold necklaces, with matching bracelets around just about his entire forearm. Circular base earrings are hung with a plygonized upside-down tear drop, all accenting his oddly purple eyes. Malik has been tattoed, with an accent line running from the corners of his eyes outwards, dropping down, and then curving back in.
Should Malik's back be exposed, scarred tissue could be seen in abundance amidst the dark tan skin, telling of the Pharoh's past. This was carved with a hot dagger by Malik's father, whom Malik then killed. Malik's hair is wild, a platinum blonde spiking naturally. It's rather long for a boy's, but not by animé standards.
Marik, on the other hand, has even odder hair, of a slightly bronzier tone, the back in the shape of a pentagram. The front part is mainly composed of jagged bangs that occasionally hide the glowing Millenium Symbol on his forehead. This, and the darker hoodie, strung with golden-colored accesories, is the only way to tell the two apart by looks.
~Personality~
View on Humanity : His view has improved alot / Still thinks they should all serve him
Buttons you shouldn't push : Mess with his friends, try to steal the Rod, annoy him alot / Say you're better than him, challenge him to a duel (more of a soul-preservation tip), try to steal the Rod
Malik and Marik are quite different, the latter born of the former's anger and hatred. Malik is calmer, more friendly. He's a bit protective, and does his best to keep himself under control to prevent Marik from taking over.
Marik is violent, loves sending people's souls to the Shadow Realm, and often toys with his victims before sending them off. His mind games can get to the very core of most people's beings, and as such he is very dangerous.
~History~
Malik's mother died while giving birth to him, so his sister Ishizu and adopted brother Odion are the closest to him. His father carved the Pharoh's memory into his back with a hot dagger when Malik was young, and that basically drove him over the edge. Malik ran away with Ishizu, while Odion stayed behind. Upon returning, Malik found his father about to kill Odion. This final straw unleashed the rage-summoned Marik, whom then skinned Malik's father.
A few years later, Malik made it to Japan, where he began hunting down the God Cards his sister refused to give him. With his minions, the Ghouls, Malik (and occasionally Marik) battled his way through Seto Kaiba's tournament, facing off with nearly everyone in the process. Malik also used the Millenium Rod's power to control the minds of his minions and his opponents. Eventually, Marik squared off with Yami/Yugi while Odion was in a coma (and therefore unable to help Malik regain control of his body), and was pretty much beating him when Odion regained conciousness and appeared. Malik took over, and then forfeit the battle. The dark part of Marik was absorbed by the Shadow Realm, while the less shadowed part of his soul returned to haunt Malik. Marik is now less potent, but not someone you want to mess with.
This version is a fusion of all of his three histories - Japanese Manga, Japanese Animé, and English.
